The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) is the regulatory authority responsible for overseeing the securities industry in Pakistan.

The SECP’s mandate is to protect investors and promote the development of the securities market in Pakistan. This includes regulating the issuance and trading of securities, as well as enforcing compliance with securities laws and regulations.

The SECP also plays a role in educating investors and promoting financial literacy in Pakistan.

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) was established in compliance with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan Act, 1997 and began its operations on January 1, 1999. The SECP is empowered with investigative and enforcement powers.
